देश को उसके 14वें राष्ट्रपति मिल चुके हैं। रामनाथ कोविंद देश के नए राष्ट्रपति हैं। उन्होंने विपक्ष की उम्मीदवार मीरा कुमार को 3,34,730 वोटों से हराया है। उनका जीतना लगभग तय माना जा रहा था। कानपुर के उनके आवास पर जश्न का माहौल है।

इस मौैके पर उन्हें चारों तरफ से बधाइयां मिलनी शुरू कर हो गई हैं। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने उनके साथ अपनी 20 साल पुरानी तस्वीर ट्वीट की और उन्हें बधाई दी। उन्होंने मीरा कुमार को भी बधाई दी।
